Met Gala 2k19
This annual event celebrates not only fashion but also it's a tradition that is held in the Met museum in New York every year. It's one of the most exclusive events of the year. The 2019's Met Gala had "Camp Fashion" as the year's theme. Each of the celebrities who who attended went dressed with what their interpretation of "Camp Fashion" was. The interesting thing when talking about any event that relates to fashion is that identity is always going to be a factor to be included. A lot of people don't realize all that is entailed into choosing an outfit, sometimes you merely pick something, and sometimes you're trying to represent, express yourself, but motivation is always a factor. In the area of psychology there's a subject that talks about motivation and stress, and how motivation is expectancy + instrumentality + value. When dressing it doesn't matter if your motivation is pain, discomfort, if you're feeling cold or hot, those are all motivations, pretty basic ones bt nonetheless motivations into choosing a look. Of course going to the Met Gala basically means you're going to find an amazing piece of clothing that not only is comfortable and represents you but also fits with the theme of the year. The 2019 Met Gala was special, it encouraged each one of the guests to find the inner "weirdo" or "camp" in them and channel it through fashion, demonstrating an unique characteristic of each e them them. Being totally blunt here, everyone has a weirdo in them, I surely have it and it's nice to have a important event like the gala encouraging us and giving us a safe place to express ourselves.
