There are a lot of movies that breath fashion, you may not notice it but the plot of the movie is built over a fashion element. Some of them have an obvious connection with fashion, and there are others where the connection is more discreet. An example of this is The Devil wears Prada, the movie has an obvious link with fashion, not only with daily fashion but with the fashion world. The movie is built around the attempt to show the truth about the fashion universe. But a lot of movies have a more discreet connection like, P.S I love you. The movie is not about fashion, it is about romance and mourning, but the turnaround of the story has a lot to do with the bond the movie has with fashion. Movies seek this link because of the incredible influence and capacity fashion has of expressing ideas.

Personal Shopper and Roommate are two movies that exemplify this. The plot of the story and the main things have no connection to fashion whatsoever, but if you really pay attention, a lot of details are veiled through the link between the movie and fashion. There are more obvious connections like the movies Sex in the City 1 and 2 and Phat Girlz. Both movies have a direct and blatant link with fashion.
